Monthly

Cadence in Madison County, Indiana

Two hours

Length of each session

NurturHer is a series of free workshops for the mothers who can’t afford private care. I bring in local providers to teach on the things that actually move the needle, nutrition, movement, and mental health, in a room with other mothers instead of one more clinical appointment. We talk about real things, sleep, what a body actually does after a baby, and the questions get taken seriously. There’s no homework, no curriculum to keep up with, and no judgment on what you brought to the table this month.

Who this is for

How it works

We meet monthly in a community space in Madison County. Each session opens with a check-in, moves through a topic led by a guest provider, and closes with a quiet ten minutes for anyone who wants to stay. Susan or another holistic health provider facilitates. There’s light food. Children too young to be left at home are welcome, the room is set up for it.

Where the program meets

NurturHer meets in rotating community spaces across Madison County, Indiana, Anderson and Pendleton. Susan and other holistic health providers facilitate every session. The foundation is independent of any hospital, church, or clinical practice.

The Woven Womb Foundation is the free, community-facing side of Susan Naftzger's work. Her private maternal-health practice (birth doula care, womb wellness coaching, and education and workshops) is a separate operation at wovenwomb.us.
