The Community Support Circle is meeting twice monthly through the summer, first and third Wednesday evenings. Seats aren't assigned; you can show up to either one without registering. There's usually room for everyone who comes.
A new NurturHer cohort opens for sign-ups on the first Monday of next month. We meet on the second Thursday of every month at the community space in Anderson, 6:30 to 8:30 in the evening. If you want in, email foundation@wwfoundation-mc.org any time.
The next Newborn Care Series cohort is filling for late summer. Three consecutive Tuesday evenings in August. Six spots open as of this writing. Email the foundation to claim one. Late-pregnancy parents have priority; second- and third-time parents are welcome if there's room.
What I'm thinking about
Postpartum mood. The Community Support Circle has had several months of conversations that keep returning to the same place: women whose postpartum depression went undiagnosed for a year or more because they didn't look like the brochure version of it. I'm writing a letter about this for the foundation's first quarterly note. It'll be on /letters when it's done.
We're also looking for a second community space, ideally on the west side of the county, so that families in Pendleton and Elwood don't have to drive all the way to Anderson for evening programs. If you know of a room (a church basement, a library after-hours space, a small studio), please email.
What's full
The Spring 2026 NurturHer cohort is full. The next opening is the Fall cohort, with sign-ups opening on the first Monday of next month.
What we need
Right now: a sponsor for the Fall Newborn Care Series. The cost of a single cohort (room, materials, three sessions) is small. About $400, all in. If you can underwrite it, the foundation will name the cohort for you in the quarterly note.
Always: monthly donations at any tier. Monthly gifts make program scheduling possible in a way one-time gifts can't. Donate.
